Auto detailing goes beyond a wash: a full detail typically includes clay bar decontamination, machine polishing to remove swirl marks, a sealant or wax, and a deep interior clean with shampooed carpets and conditioned leather. Detail shops price by vehicle size and condition, and a full interior and exterior detail takes most of a day. Ceramic coatings are a hardened liquid layer applied after paint correction that lasts years rather than weeks and makes washing easier; paint protection film (PPF, or clear bra) is a self-healing urethane wrap that stops rock chips on the hood, bumper and mirrors. Window tint shops apply dyed, carbon or ceramic film to cut heat and glare, subject to each state's visible light transmission limits.

Alexandria is in Virginia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Alexandria is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Virginia's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I recently had my car detailed, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Elvis did an absolutely amazing job cleaning both the interior and exterior of my vehicle. He spent over four hours making sure every detail was taken care of, and it truly shows. The inside of my car looks and feels brand new, with every surface spotless and refreshed. The exterior shines beautifully and has never looked better. Elvis was professional, thorough, and clearly takes pride in his work. If you’re looking for someone who goes above and beyond and delivers exceptional results, I highly recommend Elvis. His attention to detail and dedication to quality are outstanding. Five stars!

This is my second time using Auto Detailers of Alexandria, and once again, they exceeded my expectations. Mark was fantastic, and their team was very accommodating with my schedule. The attention to detail was outstanding. My Chrysler Pacifica came back looking showroom-ready, with every surface cleaned and refreshed. What impressed me most was how much clearer the windows and mirrors were afterward—it made a noticeable difference in visibility and overall driving comfort. This wasn’t just about having a clean car; it genuinely improved the driving experience and safety of the vehicle. I’ll definitely be returning and highly recommend them to anyone looking for top-quality detailing services.
